POLISH GRAND PRIX |
GABRYS IRZYK (FALMOUTH FALCONS) held his nerve to reach the Grand Final and make sure he did enough to stay a single point ahead of his closest challenger overall to be crowned as the 2017 World Champion. STEEN ERIKSEN (LANKARKSHIRE LIONS) put up a brave challenge but just couldn't overcome the Pole and had to settle for 2nd overall. The rostrum was completed by Eriksen's club-mate HAYDEN WOOD (LANARKSHIRE LIONS) who turned up a good performance to win the round and make up a gap and steal 3rd place overall from FILLIPPE CHONG (WANTAGE KINGS). |
That quartet will be joined in the next season's GP Series by the riders finishing 5th to 8th overall who are HANS E BERGESTOL (TEESSIDE TRANSPORTERS), BOGUSLAW KRYZNOWEK (MILTON KEYNES CATS), LIAM REAY (TILBURY DOCKERS) and TIBOR NEMECEK (KING'S LYNN LIGHTNING). |
For the rest it will be a trip to the GP Challenge where 7 riders will have a chance to join the 8 already back for 2018. As always that meeting promises to be a real cracker with some familiar names making it back for another season and most likely one or two upsets too. |
